Quadcopter survey
Quite often our firm faces problems with remote inspection of high-rise buildings or inaccessible structures. In our practice, we have encountered structures as high as the Eiffel Tower (about 300 meters) and historically valuable, which cannot be inspected by climbers due to the possibility of damage to the facades. An excellent solution to this problem was the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle for this purpose. One of the types of such devices is a quadcopter – a radio-controlled helicopter with 4 rotors (hereinafter referred to as a copter).
The copter allows you to inspect buildings of any height in close proximity and from a minimum distance of 3 meters, and the suspension design stabilizes the video camera to obtain better photos and videos.
The copter can be used to solve the following tasks:
- inspection of tanks, high tanks, elevators
- shooting facades of historical objects for further construction of their computer model
- hourly photo recording of construction of objects
- inspection of construction sites and damage to pipelines, canals
- inspection of hard-to-reach objects, such as pylons of bridges under construction, gates of locks and dam bodies
- monitoring the technical condition of overhead power lines
- aerial photography for detailed elaboration of master plans
The camera provides high-quality photos and videos that are used to analyze the condition of structures. At the customer’s request, all video and photo materials for a given object can be obtained on electronic media in addition to the report.
